The E Street band was founded in October of 1972, but was formally named a few years later in 1974. The backbone of the E Street Band, Bruce Springsteen, has kept the band together for many decades because of their success, unique sound, and extremely talented members. Many of the band’s current lineup have made celebrity status; Max Weinberg as the drummer on Late Night with Conan O’Brien, and Steven Van Zandt as a lead roll on the hit HBO series “The Sopranos”. They can still be seen playing sold out shows, Superbowl Halftime shows, and benefit concerts.
